  11. My mom and aunt's always have a girls sewing day. It is a lot of fun, even though I don't sew that much. I want to go to a scrapbooking crop someday.

  12. I've been to an all-day scrapbook event and an "all-weekend" (during day hours) crafting event but both were a couple years ago. Both were local (small) events - nothing like an expo

  16. The last even I went to was The Scrapbook Expo, comes every summer. My sister & I go together, but drive separately, because she's always done before me..lol I go around and around and around and spend too much money, but I love it!

  17. Scrapping U.S.A. is held in my hometown (Grand Island NE)twice a year (April & October) so I was there October 2011 and I will be there April 2012.

  18. I just went to Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim. I wish they would put it back at the fairgrounds here...I had so many issues with the parking (the lot close to it was full, had to park with two other events far away), and the workshops are SO far away from the selling floor :( I love expo and look forward to it each year...I may try the San Diego one to see if it's better, but I may not return to Anaheim :(

  22. YES! Of course! Just this past weekend I was at a scrapbooking retreat in Roscommon, MI. My favorite scrapbooking retreat is at Boyne Highlands in Michigan. It is an awesome retreat!!! Friends, food, tutorials, vendors and oh yah, scrapping! :D

  31. I have gone to several day local scrapbooking events. This past fall I went to my 1st 3-day scrapbook event and had a BLAST!!! It was sponsored by a local Creative Memories consultant at the Grand Jordan Resort at Sunday River in Maine. I am going again this fall!!

  39. Every year I go to CKC scrapbook convention in Bellevue, WA. The last one was in Nov. I also go to the Heirloom Productions rubber stamp convention every May as well. They are tons of fun and I look forward to them every year. :D

  40. My local GAWC(General Association of Womem's Clubs)participates in an annual arts and crafts festival that is at the state level here in NC, It was held 3 weeks ago. My friend & I were responsible for bringing our regional winners to the event for entry into the state competition. There were contests for children & women's club members - everything from art painting to paper crafts to metal art to sculpture to home crafts & sewing.... It was amazing to see what others created!
    I also go every June to the GASC Scrapbooking convention in Chantilly, VA. I usually volunteer. Great venue.

  42. We do Great America Scrapbook Convention every year in Arlington. We make a weekend of it. I have also been to CHA once. I was working at a store and got to go and help the owner.What a great experience.

  44. Yes it was in Pomona, CA and it was called the the Sew, Quilt Craft Expo. I attended once about four years ago and it was all sewing and quilting. I was disappointed because there was no scrabooking or paper crafts. Then I came a across a flyer at Michaels for the Scrapbook Expo and I was in heavan! Ever since then I go to two conventions a year and I love it! My husband says it is the happiest time of the year for me. Thank you Scrapbook Expo!

  45. I have been to a few holiday craft fairs and shows in the local area. There is the kitsap country holiday food and craft show every year we attend to see the local crafts. There is a scrapbook show called the Scrapbook Expo in Puyallup, WA in July I have always wanted to go to and miss every year. but I plan on going this year.

  48. My DH always wanted to go to Alaska. So when I saw Teresa Collins was hosting a cruise we jumped at the chance to go. I don't have a LSS and am unable to take classes. This one was a DOOZIE! My next dream is to go to Scrapfest or CHA.

  49. I participated in the Avante-Garde Art & Craft Show earlier this year here in NE Ohio as a vendor. It is growing by leaps and bounds and has moved venues several times. I would love to still be able to participate, but money being tight doesn't give me the chance to spend on the vendor fees right now.

  55. I have attended the Creating Keepsakes convention in King of Prussia the past few years. I love taking classes, they are reasonable and lots of fun. This year the convention is in Lancaster! I will be there!

  56. Lets see I have been to CKU and CKC in Houston, Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington TX, Scrapbook Expo in Austin TX, Scrapaganza in Houston all multiple times. And the biggest one I have ever done was Bazzill's Creative Escape in Arizona twice. I also have been to the International Quilt Show Festival in Houston several times even though I don't sew at all. All the colors and patterns are very inspiring. I LOVE to go to events where other crafty people gather!

  58. I went to CKU-Houston back in...2006?? Somewhere around there, but yes, it's been a long time. I guess the advent of the internet and online challenges, classes, demos, etc. - plus my kids' increasing involvement in sports and scouts activities - has taken my time away from in-person events!

  66. I have been to many crops, but my last one was actually a test run at the CK headquarters in Draper, UT. I got to take 2 classes they will be doing at future CKC's! I will be going to a crop next month that supports the Utah Epilepsy Foundation. They have it every year. It is so much fun!

  70. The last big event that I went to was the Close To My Heart convention in 2010, it was my first and I loved it. I more recently went to an all day scrap at a not so local LSS with a bunch of the ladies I scrapbook make cards with. I plan to attend convention again this yr in Dallas! and want to go to a Retreat sometime.

  81. I went to a scrapbooking event in February. Everybody brought their projects and worked on them all day - with no family to interrupt, food provided, no clean-up, prizes,
    and a lot of sharing. Great fun.

  87. Last weekend I was at a local scrapbooking retreat with my friend and 37 other ladies from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. This was held at a hotel about 2 hours drive from my home, and was so much fun! Lots of inspiration from the other ladies' work, 2 classes, prizes and tons of laughs.I'm a very slow scrapper, but managed to finish 2 complete pages, and four others are just about done with a bit of "tweaking" and added embellishments. This is a yearly event with the group and already we are planning one for the fall, so we don't have to wait so long!

  98. This past week end I spent from 3 p.m. on Friday until 3 p.m. on Sunday scrapping with some friends at a YMCA lodge in Missouri. There were 17 of us in a conference room. All were scrappers. Great fun and great time for sharing.

  122. i just went to the AQS quilt show at the lancaster convention center on 16mar2012..each and every quilt was a winner in my book! it was amazing to see the creations made from thread and fabric...wow!!!

  125. I've gone to weekend crops at a local scrap booking store on Cape Cod,which has since closed this past summer.So sad a wonderful small business in this economy had to go. They had seasonal scrap weekends, and did a scrap pink for a quite few years to raise money for breast cancer.I had so much fun and made many new lifetime friends there. I truly miss my guaranteed weekends away from home LOL.

  146. I went to a local shop here and they had a BIG CLEARANCE blowout on scrapbooking supplies for 2 days. It was wonderful. I was in heaven. They had so many wonderful things at cheap cheap prices...they really wanted to get rid of this stuff. Love going to craft shows but have not been to one recently.

  154. I went to CKU this past year and had a BLAST! Saw Teresa Collins and took her class which as always was fantastic, always great chatting with her. Id love to go to the one in Las Vegas but working at Pages of Tyme in Ladera Ranch CA and we are doing SHOP HOP soon so we are getting ready for that...Looking forward to seeing all the girls for shop hop again :)

    every day, first one i read.
    I have ordered lots of "stuff" (which i love) from there.
