ReplyDeleteGreat new look!! My sticky moment is one afternoon I took my kiddos over for a play date with the neighbors kids and while we were having lunch, the neighbors little boy (who was about 5 years old at the time) looks at me in the middle of the meal and blurts out "Can I see your boobies??" I wasn't quite sure how to respond and for a full minute I swear I could hear crickets and then his mother yells "WHAT?!?" I am pretty sure he got a good talking to after that, but I do think it is pretty funny now that I am not in the middle of the sticky moment. LOL

ReplyDeleteOops, my sticky moment was this one forgetting to tell you my sticky moment. Just anxious to wish you a happy birthday!
DeleteI fell asleep at the computerlast night - slept bent over with my glasses on my face - note to others - don't try this at home. When I first saw the blog coming up, I thought I was losing my sight with all the narrow chevrons, but when then window opened up fully, everything was fine. Blog looks great, love the style and conversational tone - just like watching a video ! Just like you were here with me in my robe eating peanut butter toast with me...LOL..so that was my sticky moment - my brand new glasses squished into my ace and eating at the keyboard, which is always a bad idea
ReplyDeleteshared the fun on my FB page
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday. Shared on Facebook, left a message on the Xyron Facebook page thanking them. I guess my Xyron moment would be this, yesterday I was making my own washi tape using my Design Runner and 1.5" sticker maker. After several tries to get the wording straight, I ran it through the sticker maker, rubbed the top, tried to pill off the top layer, which pull my tissue up with it, got that to turn loose and ten when I tried to take it off to use, it rolled up on me and being tissue paper I had no chance of unrolling it in one piece. I just walked away and will try again today.
ReplyDeleteNeeded to check my spelling before posting. Maybe that should be my sticky moment. Thanks for all the inspiration.

ReplyDeletePhyllis Johnson said happy birthday and many more... I love your web site. It give so much information. It is so helpful to novice crafters like me.
ReplyDeleteMy Sticky moment was literally sticky. I had taken my daughter's Girl Scout Troop on an overnight campout. It was a rustic site with no running water and pit toilets. That evening the kids were roasting marshmallows over the campfire when I noticed my daughter about 30 feet away trying to shake a burnt marshmallow off her stick. The same moment I shouted out "NO" she gave that stick one good hard shake and that ooey, gooey marshmallow covered in twigs and grass shot straight into my hair! It was the late 80s and I had the "big hair" coated with hairspray. Having no water available to wash it out, one of the other leaders suggested using something oily to work it out. The only thing we had available was Chunky Peanut Butter. I woke up during the night to racoons scratching at the tent and my head glued to the pillow. I was not a happy camper and had to get a haircut on my return home.
ReplyDeleteShared the Birthday Celebration with all my Crafty Friends via e-mail!

ReplyDeleteMy sticky moment ... My daughter became a Looney Tunes fan when she was about 3 1/2 and she latched on Daffy Duck's trademark, "You're despicable!" So when we were in the grocery store one day, she turned to an older woman coming down the aisle and yelled it at her. Not knowing what else to do, I quickly smiled and explained she was repeating what Daffy Duck says. Thankfully, the lady just laughed. Oy!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I remember eagerly waiting for the day you were born! I was very excited about having craft shows every day - and you haven't disappointed. Thank you! I posted on Xyron's FB page, posted on my FB page for folks to join the party and my own sticky moment...driving by the fire department in our town with my then 4 year-old son who very excitedly yelled "Mommy, there's a fire %$#@" out the window! I know they heard him b/c there heads whipped around and they started laughing.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!! Love the channel and checking it out everyday (although my bank account isn't as much fan of the daily buys, my craft room is!)
ReplyDeleteMy stickiest moment would have to be when my family went to dinner - my husband, myself, our 3 year old and newborn daughters. My 3 year old had her baby doll with her and decided it was hungry so she pulled up her shirt in the middle of the restaurant and started "nursing" it. My husband was NO help as he was laughing too hard. Future restaurant trips involved a "babysitter" for her baby doll...
My sticky moment was when my little pomeranian who thinks he's a person ate a roasted marshmallow and he had it all over his chin. I have a scrapbook page of him. He looked so cute.

ReplyDeleteThis sticky moment happened in the 70’s. About 9 months after my husband and I were married, my in-laws moved out of their house on the farm, and my husband & I moved into it. Before they moved out, my mother-in-law tried to “spiff” the house up by painting, adding some wallpaper, etc. to some of the rooms. Well, on this one day, my mother brought her cousin to see us and the house. They were in the kitchen talking. My mother didn’t know it but my mother-in-law had come in and sat down in the living room with me. Things were very quiet. Then I heard my mother tell her cousin,”Mrs. Lane added this wallpaper to the walls and Beverly can’t stand it. She’s going to replace it as soon as she can.” Well, I wasn’t the only one to hear that. That’s right! My new mother-in-law heard it too. She looked at me and made a face. I just pretended I hadn’t heard it.
ReplyDeleteShe never said anything about what she heard my mother say and neither did I. That was a very uncomfortable and sticky situation!
I shared on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI thanked Xyron for being supportive of MCC!
ReplyDeleteAwesome ~ I'd love to have a Creative Station! Thanks so much for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look!
ReplyDeleteMy sticky momment happened many years ago when I was in Junior High - the awkward years right? I accidently went into the boy's rest room and did not realize it until AFTER I used the toilet and come out of the stall and saw the urinals. No one else was in there, but as I left a boy was on his way in and gave me a strange look.

I love Xyron products. I have the 5" sticker machine but would love to have this larger one. My sticky moment: We were at a church social function and my little son went up to a fat (really really fat) man, punched him in the stomach and said, "you're fat." Now how would YOU handle that sticky moment gracefully?? I do love MCC and am looking forward to all the new episodes coming. Many of my inspirations for my projects have started with MCC.

ReplyDeleteI am a teacher, and my sticky moment happen in my classroom a few years ago when my daughter was in kindergarten. Someone knocked at my locked classroom door after school, and my daughter went to open it. she loudly announced, "Mommy, its that annoying lady you don't like!" Through the very sound projecting door. I though I was going to die!!
ReplyDeleteWhen my 1st grandson was about 4 he love to watch NASCAR racing with his Grandpa and his favorite driver was Mark Martin. Mark Martin's car was blue with Viagra written across the hood--and my grand son knew this and loved the word Viagra. There were a number of times when we were in the toy department and he would see the blue car of Mark Martin and say -- very loudly -- I want Viagra Mommy. We had many great laughs over this one.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Enjoy the tutorials especially.

Happy Birthday, My Craft Channel! You have kept me inspired and up to date on product info this past year. I am truly addicted!
ReplyDeleteFor my sticky moment I will share with you the story about when I was creating a scrapbook for the children that we were applying to adopt. I had stamped a paper, in big bold letters, to read, "So Much Fun!" and applied something sticky to the back of it. A few minutes later when I wanted to place it on the page I couldn't find it anywhere! Later that day, after walking around the mall for at least an hour, a nice lady finally informed me that I had a sticker on my backside. I was so embarrased wondering how many people saw it and wondered ifIi was advertising or just bragging!
Just invited all my friends to join the celebration by posting a link on my FB page. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove my craft channel!!! I watch it all the time to get inspired!!! I get lots of ideas from you. Thanks and Happy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteMy sticky moments are everyday in my craft room with "Matsu" my cat. Everynight when I am finished I have to brush him just to get all the paper and "sticky papers/glitter" off him
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!! Thank you for the fabulous shows and inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteMy sticky moment: last year I thought it would be fun to have our Christmas card have a picture of us with Santa. I told my 3 teenagers, 10 year old and husband that I wanted everyone to smile nicely so that we could use the picture to send to family and friends. We waited in line, got our picture taken - everyone cooperating so I'd have a good picture to use. We went back later to get the picture and everyone looked perfect...except me!!! I looked like I was yelling "surprise" or something - I had ruined the picture!!! My husband and kids thought it was hysterical, and wanted to use it anyway. But, we didn't :)
my sticky moment was when my niece oldest niece was a toddler and crawled into my lap in a store calling me "momma", a salesperson comment on how sweet it was that my child loved me so much before I could correct my niece. It was sweet that she loves me so much. But her mother what was standing right beside me clearly wasn't so thrilled.
ReplyDeleteCommented of Xyron's facebook page.

ReplyDeleteI have a lot of sticky moments. I have dropped a piece of pattern paper that I just added the adhesive to on a almost finished layout. I ended us ripping part of the layout while trying to remove y mistakes.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy sticky moment was last Summer when my sweet little girl got gum in her hair and didn't tell me about it for a few days. Ahe kept it hidden! What a mess! She wanted me to just cut it out! Oh man!! We got it out though!!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. I cannot choose just one sticky moment because there have been so many.
ReplyDeleteJust had a sticky moment yesterday. I was gathering my needed supplies for a presentation and one item was my match book. I pulled it out of the mini bucket, the one where I had also placed several other misc items. It was covered in goo. Glue! Sticky, gross, and not ideal for matches!
