Big News for My Craft Channel, Oct 3rd and Giveaway

We wanted the My Craft Channel fans to hear our BIG NEWS before the official announcement is made to the public. But first did you hear that our fall season will officially begin on October 3rd? So mark your calendars...

But now for our big news....

Octavio Media, parent company of Northridge Publishing has partnered with My Craft Channel!

Kristine McKay owner/founder of My Craft Channel shared, “My vision for My Craft Channel has been an exciting journey that has gained more excitement and interest from the craft industry than I ever expected.  I've had several offers from companies to sell the channel. Considering that it isn't even live yet, that is a huge compliment for what we are building. My answer has been no because their vision was not the same as mine. However, we have had an amazing opportunity to partner with Octavio Media. This is a company I have worked with for quite sometime. I am currently their spokesperson for CreaTV. I have enjoyed my relationship with this company and look forward to working with them on My Craft Channel.”

My Craft Channel has been a personal mission years in the making.  Crafting has been an important part of my life for many years.  I was always creative, yet I never considered myself “crafty” until one day (many years ago), when my husband was in law school, a one year old, and another baby on the way.  the four walls of my home.  I had a one year old and had one on the way.  With no time or money, I remember feeling trapped within the four walls of my home. One day I discovered an old shelf.  I decided to try and paint it to match my living room.  When it was completed I found myself smiling every single time I looked at the wall.  Suddenly it dawned on me . . .  I did NOT live in a prison with four walls.  I was surrounded by a blank canvas just waiting to be discovered.  My life changed that day.  Crafting is a personal expression of creativity.  It has filled my life with so much joy, it’s my mission to share that with others.

    I am thrilled to be surrounded by such amazing talent on My Craft Channel.  I scoured the country and literally interviewed hundreds of women.  I feel like I have found the cream of the crop.  Each week I will interview a panel of industry experts from manufacturer’s,  retailers, designers, and bloggers.  We will explore a variety of topics and would love to hear your suggestions.

Bio

Kristine is a wife and mother to three busy children.  She has been involved in the craft industry for ten years, working in marketing, product development, design, and everything in between.  It was through her involvement with HSN and QVC, that she discovered her passion for the platform that television provides.

Kristine presently owns a video production company located in American Fork, Utah and stays busy as a guest and contributor for Studio 5, a Salt Lake City life & style morning show.  Kristine is also the spokesperson for Northridge Publishing, and just completed designing her first paper line with Echo Park Paper Company.
