My CHA partner in crime. Brian does so much work for you behind the scenes to make the videos happen, from filming to editing. |
Filming in the Hampton Art booth--just one of many stops along our CHA way. |
Brian is already hard at work, editing the long list of videos we made for you. To give you an idea of the work he has cut out for him, here is a list of the companies we managed to visit in just 2.5 short CHA days:

* Carta Bella and Echo Park with the sweetest mama-to-be I know, Andrea Smith
* Chic Tags with the incredibly imaginative Veronica Milan

* Sizzix with four impressive guests: Cara Mariano, marketing magician and art director for the entire Sizzix empire (that's a lot of work), Jen Long, who designed the fabulous 50's release; the legendary Brenda Walton; and a true cool cat, Ms. Marisa Pawelko
* Technique Tuesday with the passionate and kind Bev Gray
* Teresa Collins herself, sharing a look at more striking projects than I can count

To conclude our CHA fun, I'd like to share a few of my overall show favorites with you. Unfortunately, I didn't see the entire CHA floor (filming takes time), but I did see MANY awesome things. Here are just a few of those delights that stood out to me. You'll have to let me know which one you like the best.
Wood Sequins by Chic Tags
I have a crush on sequins, but I've never seen wood ones before. How tremendous are these lovelies? I can't wait to decorate them with glittle glue, ink, paint, and more!

This little book makes my gold-loving heart happy. I can't wait to fill it with pictures of my daughter. Maybe, just maybe, I can finally get some of the 8,000+ images off of my phone and into this book. Yay!
New Show Toppers Jar Lids from Cosmo Cricket
Cosmo Cricket always makes my heart happy, especially when they combine their signature class with storage charm. Check out this newest Show Topper jar lid. It has slots in it that you can thread your ribbon and twine through for storage that's as beautiful as it is functional!
Vintage Metal Clips from Maya Road
Being a super dork, I thought these cuties were snow cones. I went on and on about how cute they are and how I want to use them. Come to find out, they're geo tags. D'oh! Still cute though, I'm just embarrassed. At any rate, these and the many other new paperclips from Maya are amazing. The designs include @ signs, ampersands, lightbulbs, and more!
Happy Trails Stamp and Die Sets from Lawn Fawn
Happy, indeed! I adore glampers. In fact, I just bought my own vintage camper that I plan on transforming into a vintage glamper soon. In the meantime, I can't wait to create with these cuties from Lawn Fawn. *swoon*
Fat Roll Washi from Hazel & Ruby
I never, ever, ever thought I'd see the day when I'd say I adore "fat rolls," but that day has arrived. Fat Rolls of tape, that is. Aren't these 2" wide (by 20' long) rolls of washi extraordinary? What would you use them for. My washi mind is fast at work, thinking up possibilities.
Sprinkles Vellum by Doodlebug Design
Ready for this? Vellum is back, my crafty friends! How fun! And this colored, textured vellum from Doodlebug is the best. The colors are delicious, and the vellum is a nice, heavy weight. I can't wait to turn this vellum into envelopes, punched shapes, card bases, and more! Va va va voom, it's vellum!
New SN@P! Burlap Binders from Simple Stories
I've adored the SN@P! approach since it first came on the scene a few years ago. It's all about using the pockets to scrap your memories. And their pocket inserts are the cutest. But it's these new binders that I can't wait to get my hands on. Aren't they lovely? And the burlap texture is a real treat!

No, these are not snow cones. I'm just a dork. They're geotags, and they're oh, so cute! |
